Join us at the Blo Back Gallery for two films by Pueblo youth who completed the Youth Documentary Academy in Colorado Springs. At 7pm enjoy a performance by Spyderland and a Meet & Greet with Dennis Leoni & Daniel Zacapa sponsored by the Latino Chamber of Commerce & El Movimiento Sigue. The Bar will be tended by the artisans at Tipsy Rose. Food is available from Café Murillo, Papa Mario’s Grilled Cheese, & Pepper & Co Pizza trucks. On display in the gallery is the final weekend of the Absolution at the Blo Back art gallery show.

Doors open at 9:30am and social bingeing of hours of short films will begin at 10am sharp. Films will play nonstop in two theaters with a break for lunch and an afternoon intermission. Our exhibition hall will be filled with vendors for all your snack desires from Walter’s Baked Goods, Sweethearts Kettle Corn and more. Food trucks are out front. The Sangre De Cristo Jackson Hall bar will open at 2pm.

 

Dinner is from 5pm-7pm — please sample local fare like Bistoro, The Shamrock, The GoldDust, or Fuel & Iron Food Hall all within walking distance and return by 7pm in full glam ready for Red Carpet photography and the first ever Steely Award Show with a participatory preshow by Underground Improv and music by Jeremy Kitchen and Out Of The Box Entertainment. All hosted by our magnificent emcee, Sonny G., president of SAG-AFTRA Colorado.

Doors open again at 9:30am with a screening of the Winner’s Circle in the grand theater and filmmaker education in the Jackson theater with Professor Sharzad Dadgar on Storytelling and Pitching your film. This is followed by several more short films. After the lunchbreak we will have a screening of EP Dennis Leoni’s 90-minute pilot from Ressurection Blvd. followed by a talkback with Dennis Leoni and actor Daniel Zacapa. Additional films will be screened along with a workshop in the Jackson by The Collaborative Curators: Avoiding the Pitfalls and Predators of Digital Distribution. All events sponsored by T-Fiber who made this festival possible through both their financial support and their new fiber internet infrastructure here in Pueblo, CO.
