As a second-generation U.S. citizen, Tristan Owen grew up hearing stories from his mother about America's promise as a land of opportunity. Inspired by her stories and her journey to make the most of her opportunities Tristan set out to learn the craft of documentary filmmaking. Along the way, his passion evolved into a deep sense of responsibility for the stories he chooses to capture. His connection to Latin America has led him to uncover and share narratives from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries. Through his work, he aims to amplify voices that often go unheard and offer a platform for exploring diverse cultures and communities.
