After the death of his wife, Valera lives out his life in his parents' old house. Suddenly, his younger brother Tolya arrives from Germany, where he had fled leaving his wife and daughter in Russia. Together they hurry to finish painting the fence before winter comes and try to uncover the mystery of the Gitanes cigarettes found in the closet. The memories help them to rethink the present.

Born in 1996 in Ufa, I grew up in Perm. In 2018 I graduated from St. Petersburg State University, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Cognitive Studies, and taught at school for two years after that. In 2021 I finished Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors (class of Pavel Lungin and Ira Volkova). I worked as an assistant to Alexei German Jr. on the movie "Air", also directing the second unit in the pavilion. I am also the founder and speaker of the Moscow film club kinowed.
